There're a few things that make my mornings extra great: sunlight, timely buses, and music. Okay, the sunlight and bus are a bit hard to ask for especially when I am in Vancouver, but I know music will be always available. Like many people, my music library consists of artists that are prominent on mainstream media, and like many people, they are the only type of music I listen to. A year ago I’d say that’s totally fine, but now I’d say I wish I explored around more.

So, what happened? Indie music happened.

For 2010 TAIWANfest, we have organized a series of programs for the 15th anniversary of Teresa Teng's memorial. One of the features is storytelling of Teresa Teng that is presented by one of Taiwan's top music historians, Kun-Cheng Lee. He is going to share many untold stories of Teresa Teng including her music background and her career - exploring Teresa Teng in a way you have never experienced before.

今年5月8日是鄧麗君小姐逝世15週年紀念日，亞洲各地相揭舉行紀念會，一起懷念這位永遠的巨星。2010加拿大台灣文化節目前在節目中正規劃與鄧麗君文教基金會合作，製作一系列的紀念活動，讓加拿大廣大華裔及日裔喜愛鄧麗君的朋友也有機會追思這位曾經是世界最有影響力的華裔歌手。此紀念活動是將配合今夏加拿大台灣文化節以音樂100年為題材的節目。

Music. A way of living. Listening to music in my leisure time is an irreplaceable pleasure that I have always treasured.

Refused to be alone, from time to time I meet up with a couple of buddies at "live house", a place where world renowned musical bands perform. It's a place that summons your soul and a place where your heart will be touched. Frankly speaking, attending concerts at live house has been a part of my live ever since I first went there.
