Teresa Teng is hailed as one of the most influential cultural icons in East Asia. Starting her singing career in Taiwan at age 14, Teresa Teng touched millions of hearts with her romantic ballads and folk songs not only in Taiwan, but in China, Hong Kong, Japan and South East Asia as well. This talented singer tragically passed away from an asthma attack at the age of 42. This year, many events are taking places throughout Asia marking her 15th Memorial Anniversary.
